Mr. Garcia founded COMPEX Corporation in 1980 to
specialize in systems engineering and advanced information
technology support, including software development and
management for government and industry clients including
the U.S. Department of Defense. Under his direction,
the staff has grown to over 100 professional, technical,
and administrative personnel.
Garcia's entrepreneurial success has been chronicled
by business and computer industry publications, and
through his achievements he has become a known and respected
leader in the computer industry.
In 1999, he launched a satellite communications and
mobile computing company, called Mobile Universe. He
firmly believes in the growth potential of this industry
and created a host of bundled wireless solutions to
effectively respond to market dynamics with customer-focused
solutions serving businesses and consumers.
In March of 2002, he brought this wireless and satellite
technology to his native Puerto Rico by opening offices
in Hato Rey. Through Mobile Universe, the company reaches
areas on the island previously underserved by conventional
broadband wireline technology.
